Art therapy is a form of expressive therapy that uses the creative process of art-making to improve a person’s physical, mental, and emotional well-being.
The creative process involved in expressing one’s self artistically can help people to resolve issues as well as develop and manage their behaviours and feelings, reduce stress, and improve self-esteem and awareness.
No artistic skills are required.
I strongly believe in the unique effect of the arts in the process of discovering ourselves and gaining understanding that often cannot be put into words. The arts are a way of letting go and expressing oneself in a safe and supportive setting aimed at facilitating growth and healing.
I mainly practice a person-centered approach. Creative journeys are led by visualisations and encourage the emergence of significant images and symbols from the unconscious as well as free associations in response to the visual material.
